The owner/manager was even very personable with us. Would definitely go here again when I am in the neighborhood…
Ya went to the sarasota mall location and sat at the bar waiting for a drink awhile then to see a guy bartender making out with a female manager. I should have got their names but after waiting 15 min for someone to get me a drink or say hello I was more or less pissed off! Never go their bad service and management!
Live with Flavor. We had a great visit. I tried the Fish & Chips, the fish part a large piece with a crispy batter that was mild and not oily, the chips thin cut fries perfectly prepared. Both were very good. I had wanted to try their World Famous Garlic Parmesan Fries and our server happily brought us the Garlic, Parmesan and Herb sauce from which I could transform my delicious fries into even more delicious fries.In fact, flavor is their specialty. They offer over 30 sauces and glazes ranging from mild to so not mild. Whether you are a wing lover or like to dip your fries, your meal has gotten much more interesting.Our server did an outstanding job. She was very helpful with useful suggestions and a pleasure throughout our visit.We ate indoors but they also have a couple of different seating areas outside too. The entrance is from outside of the mall. The restaurant has only been opened for a couple of months and it still looks new. There are TVs all over the place and upbeat music. It is a reasonably priced restaurant not only for Sarasota Square shoppers but also as a destination restaurant.
When we dined here recently we had a not so great experience. We absolutely adored our server and had great service on that end. As for our food it was cold. Our ordered was messed up and never was compensated. On top of that I felt overall bad for our server who look like they were under great stress from being watched like a hawk by perhaps the manager or owner. I work in the food industry and I know how difficult it is to do your job properly when you feel like someone is just waiting for you to mess up and you feel like your job is at risk. I would not recommend Hurricane and would suggest for them to rethink how they are running their business before it is to late
