A good start to my day. I spotted Jims a week of two ago and wondered if it would be a good little breakfast/lunch place in a strip mall. It was. I visited early this morning and found the food good, the service quick, and my server very pleasant.On the front of the menu it stated they had legendary gravy & sausage and homefries. After conferring with my server she recommended I get kind of a half and half, biscuits & their sawmill gravy, and their seasoned homefries. The homefries were very good, I appreciate the extra effort in making good potatoes. The gravy was also good, not as salty as I personally prefer but that is easily adjusted at the table.While the menu was fairly standard, they have a wall of breakfast and lunch specials and I saw a few that looked really interesting.Jims does not take debit/credit cards, so be prepared to pay by cash or local check. When I visited it was quiet, but my server told me it can and usually does get busy in a hurry. I suspected that when I saw minimum of 2 people signs at each booth. They also have some tables and a long lunch counter.
