Best bakery!. I visit Sarasota at least once a year from New York and always enjoy Jim’s small batch bakery! I went in for the french bread today – it was still warm at noon. I tried the peanut butter brownie for the first time – delicious with real ribbons of peanut butter. The blueberry cinnamon cream cheese muffin was supposed to be for breakfast tomorrow, but I couldn’t resist a piece today, so crumbly with blueberries on the outer edges and creamy filling. I saved a piece of his famous carrot cake for dinner tonight! As the name states, it is small batch so it’s always a mystery for me what treats will be left, but the from scratch flavor really comes through and it’s fun to try the new favors. I’d recommend asking about the frozen rolls too as they thaw quickly and seem just as fresh.
