Skip It!!!. Indefensibly bad service. Sadly terrible service because the food is quite good. Dinner on a weekday, restaurant capacity about 50 percent. No real excuse for delays, rudeness and extra charges. No wine during meal, missing items. Had to go to bar for wine. Wine and ordered extras came at the end of the meal. We were charged $2.50 for shallots added to the linguine and clams. So not about the money. Dining is an experience and this was a bad one. Skip it.
Good Neighborhood Italian Restaurant. First trip to Leone’s this week and we were pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere, food and service. We had often seen folks coming out of the restaurant with Pizza boxes and had made the erroneous assumption that it was more of a carry out Pizzeria….and we’re we wrong! Inside the decor takes you on a culinary trip to Italy and on the evening we went they had a young lady singing Italian opera spiced with some broadway tunes. For dinner I had spaghetti with meat balls and Italian sausage with their house salad and dressing and garlic toast! When the dinner came out t was a little skimpy on sauce which our waitress addressed immediately! My dining companion had the penne pasta with fresh garlic, mushrooms, tomatoes with marinara…..which had a good flavor but was a little watery. Overall, though we liked our overall experience, with great service, and especially enjoyed finding a little bit of Italy in our local neighborhood!
