NOT RECOMMENDED. Dinner last night, Service and food nothing to rave about. When it cames to VALUE I have to question the sanity of the management. I ordered the sea scallops entree from the Savor Sarasota Menu. They were good and of reasonable size, but would you believe (TWO) scallops is caonsidered a dinner. I will not be returning anytime soon. Even a little old lady would have walked away HUNGRY and in my opinion angry.
Food was good. service not so much. we had reservations and the hostess was no where to be found. we stood there for 5 minutes or more and finally the manager came and greeted us. he had no idea what he was doing….took 5 more minutes to decide where to seat us. server only took our drink order and food order and came back one other time to drop off a soda. do you really think we would like to stay for dessert when we saw you go to joe schmoes table 7 times?! if it wasnt for people like us you wouldn’t be in business. nit recommended
Food was mediocre when compared to the downtown location.Our server, Jerry, was awful. Aloof and only tended to our table 3 times the whole evening. Seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. We never saw a bus boy except for our initial water which we would have liked refilled but nobody ever came.I eat out a lot, and this location is off the list. Won’t be back.
Love this place, was here with family on fathers day 2011 and we spent almost $400 but well spent, everything was was excellent and my filet mignon the best, you have to go to this restaurant.
We went in at dinner time but wanted burgers. They were absolutely delicious! And served be the best waitress we’ve had all week. Can’t wait to go back for dinner soon.
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here. The service was great through the meal. The food was fresh and had a smooth, clean, and uncomplicated set of flavors. The pear tort was amazing. Towards the end of our meal the service did slow to a noticeable point and that coupled with the food being slightly overpriced were the only draw backs. The atmosphere was very nice an the management was also nice and attentive.
This Mattisons is NOT waterfront like the previous review said. It is however the best brunch in Sarasota.
