Hard Object in Chicken A La King. We have gone out of our way to eat at Millie’s and have enjoyed several very good mealsthere. We had even recommended it to several friends and relatives. But, on Tuesday my chicken a la king was very bland but worse, it had a hard object in it.The object wedged in a tooth. When I examined it, it was tan and looked like either a fingernailor a piece of bone. It wasn’t cartilage, due to both color and rigidity. I showed it to the waitress who took it to the kitchen. Someone came out of the kitchen, said he was sorry and it was cartilage. I asked to speak with the manager and guess what? I had spoken tothe owner.Evidently, he didn’t see a problem with this since he offered nothing to remedy the situation. I wouldhave. It’s also embarrassing to be reaching in your mouth and un-wedging something while eating lunch.I had hoped to have a 2nd conversation with the owner after I paid for lunch but he abruptly left therestaurant.The restaurant is charming, but I am most unimpressed with the attitude of the owner. But they stay busy,so keeping customers happy must not be a high priority.
