Outstanding. Enormous portions of a few dishes (mostly shellfish) perfectly prepared by busy but friendly and efficient servers. Favorites include the 2 lbs of p&d steamed shrimp. Tender, perfect texture, sweet and delicious. Oysters Monkafeller are delightful dinghys of cheesy goodness. Even as busy as they are, for oysters on the half shell the shucker managed to open the shells, separate the oyster and still keep the liquor in the shell. Nothing fancy; its a bar that serves good drinks and a few very generous plates of fresh, perfectly prepared seafood. One of the best deals around!
Know what you are getting. This place is awesome. It is a bar, not really a restaurant, so don’t expect one..it’s a little place where you can get a beer and eat some of the finest seafood ever..we enjoyed oysters on the half shell ..every bit as good as New Orleans oysters. We also had 2 lbs of steamed shrimp in butter and old bay. Great find…we will return
Best oysters ever… Especially the monkefellas yummy yummy a must try!
Had draft beer, dzn raw oysters (best I’ve eaten), and dzn steamed shrimp. It was wonderful. Wanted to stay and eat/drink all day. Maybe I will next time 🙂
Love this place. We had a great meal of crawfish (fantastic) shrimp (great) and little neck steamers for dinner here last week. it was really fun. Not a place you go for atmosphere, but you definitely go for the great steamer seafood.
