Picked the wrong time to visit. Partly due to the lure of a LivingSocial coupon, we visited Morgans tonight for dinner. Bad timing, we should have waited a few months. We were the only customers there for dinner and the food wasnt very fresh. In the past the restaurant may have scaled back the days they were open even closed for the summer, I think last year they remodeled. Anyway, I believe we would have had a better experience during the tourist season (Nov Apr) when they would be busier.I had the Shrimp Carbonara, a very large serving, but not very good. The shrimp was tasteless, the tomato slices didnt taste right. My wife had the Ribeye, marinated so there was no flavor from what should have been a flavorful steak. At least we hoped what we tasted was a marinade. A large steak, so while our entrees lacked quality there was no lacking quantity.Service was fine, perhaps a little too familiar if Morgans is trying to present themselves as a fine dining establishment, but with us being the only diners not really important.They have a good menu, I think they just need to sell more food so they have to restock more often. Hopefully during the season the hotel would be busier, the restaurant busier, and they can get into a more normal restaurant rhythm.
