We’ve been going to PC > 20 years; Today was 1sttime we’ve ever been Disappointed! Obviously, there is (either)a new chef or they’ve changed the recipes. The Grouper was seasoned differently & parsley potatoes had more salt in them than the Dead Sea. Spoke to two other folks that have recently eaten there; they noticed a big difference too. Very Disappointed; this WAS my favorite rest. In SSota.
Adorable location and excellent service. We will definitely be back. We had the fried shrimp, grouper and mahimahi. It was delicious. Our server was super friendly and understanding of our daughters allergies. Thanks again for making our last night in this town a wonderful one.
Don’t listen to the naysayers. The Creek serves freshest seafood. Just go! You will love it. I had the Crispy Grouper Wrap on 4/16. Totally amazing. We were served by Efrain – awesome service!!!
Amazing Everything!. The food was fresh, fast, and really delicious. The atmosphere laid back, kid friendly, and just really comfortable. When my 2 year old got fussy I took him to look at the water and a food runner approached me and asked if he could get him some food to feed the fish. He not only hung out and filled me in on some local highlights he continued giving him food. When he found out there were 4 more kids at our table he brought fish food (saltine crackers) for the other kids along with sticker sheets. Our waitress, Ashley, was outstanding, fast, and friendly. Amazing food. Gluten allergy friendly. What an amazing place, fresh seafood, steaks, great atmosphere and some of the best service we have had in Sarasota!My wife is Allergic to .gluten and they accommodated her wonderfully. It’s really hard to find a place for us to eat, as many restaurants treat it like a preference and not an allergy so we are very careful where we eat. Doug, our waiter was really great about it. He and Amy the manager, made sure we had numerous options and that everything we ordered was ok for my wife. The food was to die for, the happy hour specials were not watered down and the service we received from Doug was over the top! If your not looking for gluten free try the grouper sandwich, it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant. Itself is right on the water, is very scenic and rustic and fun. This used to be a good restaurant. My husband and I have loved Phillippe Creek Oyster bar for years. However, on our last few visits, we’ve noticed that the food quality is getting worse and worse. For example, thw last time we were there, we ordered steamed oysters and not only were the oysters ridiculously tiny compared to the norm, but the crackers were STALE! We asked for fresh crackers and they actually couldn’t find any in the whole place! This is especially pathetic for a place that calls itself an ‘oyster bar’. I just hope that the management does something about the terrible food quality lately and gets back in track. We won’t be back for awhile.
Calypso Salmon Salad. Delightful Salad of greens, fruit and a huge tender salmon filet. Very generous portion, very tasty.22 Aug, 2014New England Lobster Roll. Lots of sweet lobster meat in the salad. Very pure tasting; not very spicy. Seasoning doesn’t fight with the freshness and sweetness of the fresh tail meat.
