Well I gotta say I’m questionable about strip mall bbq but this place was very good. I got the 2 meat combo with ribs and pulled pork. The ribs were super tender and had a sweet sauce on them that didn’t make it to messy. The pulled pork was the closest to North Carolina bbq I have had outside of NC. I absolutely love the tangy vinegary pulled pork and they nail on the head. 5 out of 5 good job guys.
Typical BBQ place. No surprises here. Dcor includes various items on the walls, signs with cute sayings, country music in the background, and it has that neon orange shine. These are not bad things, just common. The food was good, the service fine. I ordered a special which had 3 St. Louis Style ribs and sliced beef, and I scored some pulled pork from my dinner companion. I thought the ribs were very good and wanted a few more. The other items needed BBQ sauce. They do offer 4 distinct types of sauce, sweet, mustard, vinegar, and they said they had hot. This is a good place, not great and also not bad. We like BBQ and are glad we stopped in for dinner.

My niece had a burger there and brought half home. My partner had the riblets and he was unable to eat them all so I helped him out. I will go back and I recommend it whole heartedly.
Ordered the chicken dinner for carry out. Was red near the bone. Manager did offer to send a coupon but I’ll never get the chicken again.
Awesome!!. Best ribs in Sarasota/Venice….Salad is served and cold with second best bleu cheese dressing (mine is best) I’ve ever eaten.
Good BBQ!. Rib City Grill is a very good authentic BBQ restaurant in Venice. The Pulled Pork Plate I ordered was great! Good price, too. Lots of atmosphere! Very popular place. Conveneniently located in a shopping center at the intersection of 41 and Jacaranda.
