Great food, great pub, great beer. This place is small but very friendly and has great food with some great tasting beer. it’s worth going to if your in the mood for some good style pub food and beer.
Not so good this time. There were few customers when we stopped in for lunch on this Sunday, the result it was explained to us of being off-season. And a good time for some renovations. Among other things they are replacing the floor and will be redoing the bar area. No sign of active construction on our visit but we did notice a smell close to the entrance.I usually get a too juicy burger and like it, but opted this time for the Reuben. It was not particularly good, too dry and too small. I would not recommend this sandwich. In my opinion the place is too dark inside with no natural light getting in. There are a few TVs including a big screen for watching sports. Parking that runs in front of Sarasota Brewing Co as well as all along the road is in need of repair.Service was very good. When a place is not busy you can either get attentive service or forget about you service, and I was glad ours was attentive. Not being a beer drinker I am not able to comment on their best attribute.
Food and beer were great. I had the IPA and though it wasn’t the hoppiest I’ve had it was bitter enough. The food was nice and hot but man they are slow with the food. I could of had 3 beers before the food ever came. As a bonus, the make their own root beer and its good.
Food was good. Service was apalling to say the least. No refills on drinks, part of order was completely forgotten, check was pretty much thrown at us.
Favorite!. We were in Sarasota for a week and went here two nights. I have to agree with the previous reviewer about the beers. Loved the porter and the amber. If you are a beer lover you have to try this place!
Great Brewery/Pub in Sarasota. This is one of my favorite brew pubs in the many cities I travel to on business. I come to Sarasota quite often and I’ve been coming here for years & years, ever since they first opened. Over all that time it hasn’t changed one bit. If anything, it’s gotten much better. They feature a lot of different beers here brewed by their vastly competent and knowledgeable brew master. Of the 22 different brews they make here throughout the year, I’ve tasted 17 of them and not a one of them was even remotely close to being a dud. In particular, I really like their Presidential Pale Ale, Ya Mills Honeymeade Ale, Milk Stout, Midnight Pass Porter, Full Moon Maibock, English Special Bitter, Sequoia Amber Lager and Original Prague Pilsner. There’s always about four of their standards on tap including the Pale Ale and the Amber Lager and depending on the season they offer three or four of the specialty brews, too.The food is decent to good and their wings are some of the better ones I’ve sampled. The chili cheese fries are enormous, filling and a coronary just waiting to happen (read: great!). Also, their servers and bartenders are all extremely friendly, hot as Hell or mostly both. Without exception, I’ve always had really superb service as many times as I’ve been here.If you like sports, they have a multitude of TVs over the bar, with two movie theater sized ones in the middle room and another giant one in the back room. Best thing though is their late night happy hour – DRASTICALLY reduced prices on the bar food menu, well drinks, beer & wine from 10PM ’til closing every night! I think the beers go for less than $3/pint. The late afternoon happy hour is the same deal.Great place with a laid back clientele and many regulars too. A nice even distribution of 20somethings, middle agers, geezers & families. I LOVE this place!
Great micro Brewery onsite!. Great Brews and they have awesome pizza along with a full menu of Pub food. A Truly friendly place with great staff and lots of sports viewing opportunities–bring the whole gang for a fun time.I will be going back soooon!
