Not sure why the rating is so low. Both food and service were good and the ambiance was nice as well. My schnitzel was pretty good, but the beef sauerbraten was the best. Spatzel was quite tasty as well. Decent bottled beer selection and Weihenstephaner on tap. I’d go back.
Went for Mom’s birthday and service was nonexistent. Showed ourselves to the table, no menus offered for 10 minutes. No drink order taken until we hailed waiter. Two orders of veal shnitzel were tough. Very disappointed.

I liked it. Opened about 6 months ago, the Schnitzel Kitchen is one of only a couple of German restaurant in the area. I had and liked the Beef Rouladen. It is two rolls of beef with little pickle pieces (and maybe other things) inside and served with gravy. My caveat is I dont really know very much about this dish. I can say the beef had a dried texture that easily broke apart and there was a liberal amount of gravy. Beef and gravy is a perfect meal for my unsophisticated palate. I finished with an Apple Strudel that was nice and flaky but could have used more apple and raisins. Lively German music played in the background, service was ok. The Schnitzel Kitchen is in the Gulf Gate area in the spot previously occupied by Broccolinis.
The decor was refreshingly typical of German eateries and I almost felt that I could be in Europe…..I enjoyed the experience, although I don’t know that I would go back. I had the pork schnitzel – perhaps the veal would’ve been better, but the price seemed abit steep at $24. The restaurant is in a good location and I hope it does well.
About a 3 on food had the sourbraten the meat needed a little more vinegr and the gravy was very light for i always had it with a darker gravy the potato dumplingss were small they should have been two of them. the service was good,
