Excellent food & experience, blend of South American & Spanish cuisine. The cuisine was noteworthy – very fresh, unique, and home made. The environment was one of the most welcoming we’ve experienced and we will definitely return. Xiamara and Tom own the restaurant and have developed the menu from their family’s old Honduran and Spanish recipes. We had the shrimp appetizer, which is served in a broth to dip bred into. It was delicious! We also had the Croquetes, which are little balls stuffed with Serrano ham, cream cheese, flavorful spices and a really good dipping sauce. For entrees, I loved the Pastalon. It was like a lasagna that had plantain, instead of some of the noodles, with layers of meat and cheese, which made it light and added a sweet refreshing flavor. Highly recommend! We also had the Payella, which was very good also, very fresh. Everything was spiced well for flavor but nothing was hot-spicy. To top it off, we had the coconut flan. I normally don’t like flan but this one was very different, more like a cheese cake with a unique blend of spices, maybe cloves. Xiamara also gave us a glass of her Chica Morada juice that she makes by hand by boiling purple South American corn and blending it with pineapple juice and cinnamon. The hand made juices are more like refreshing deserts, very unique and fresh. Recommended. Topped with Xiamara and her daughter frequently visiting the table and explaining the dishes and spices used, we felt like part of the family. It was a very memorable dining experience and we will be definitely returning. The location of the restaurant is at the end of the sidewalk, to right the post office. When all of the other restaurants had a wait, we walked in during Christmas week and immediately had a table outside by the torches. We visit Siesta Key a lot. In October, this place was rated #1 but we didn’t have time to visit it then. We were very happy to include it in part of our trip with this visit.

This restaurant had excellent food and awesome service. It is deliciously unique. We are visiting with our two year old son from out of town, and the owners were just great. It’s a great alternative to the local bar food flavor restaurants. The food is a sampling of Latin American cuisine and each of the dishes was flavorful. Also, they took great care of our son both by service and considering his pickiness with food.

Great New Find. Was looking for something new and different on Siesta Key, and found it! The hostess alone was charming enough to make me want to stay for three courses, and each–from her parents recipes–was very tasty. Empanadas were good, but the subtle green sauce was a bonus. The house special brisket in spiced coconut with plantains was as delicious as promised, and the small flan was the perfect dessert after a big meal. A short walk to the beach for the sunset capped off a very pleasant day.

BLOWN away! Delicious!. Just happened upon this restaurant by chance! Was doing some last minute souvenir shopping in the Village and quickly developed an appetite. The Dacquiri Deck and the Hub were too crowded and noisy as all I wanted was a peaceful, stress-free and home-cooked meal, or at least as close to it as I could find! I was getting ready to settle for Italian when I noticed Senor Siesta. Thank God! The food was fantastic and the owners couldn’t be nicer!Costillas Asadas + Flan de Coco + Cuban black coffee = CAN’T GO WRONG!I will definitely be back again! I strongly recommend this restaurant!
