Authentic NJ in Sarasota. Very romantic little restaurant leans heavily on its Hoboken, NJ roots for dependable Italian fare. Franca makes everyone feel like you are in her home as she moves from table to table seemingly doing everything effortlessly. Everyone we have taken here loves it.
Excellent Establishment. I don’t know how this place isn’t rated in the mid to high 90 percentile. We ate here on Valentines Day and it couldn’t have been better in any regard. The owner who runs the place is an absolute delight and the food was some of the finest Italian food I’ve had. I had the veal parm and it was probably the best I’ve had. We’re going back to Sarasota next month and we’ve already got Solorzano’s on the calendar.
A perfect date night for us!. We dined at Solorzano’s for the first time and the experience was delightful. The restaurant is a secret gem. The decor is romantic yet masculine. The ambiance was complemented by the sounds of Frank Sinatra and Eros Ramazzotti. The food…divine! I had the chicken lasagna and my husband enjoyed the meatballs and sausage over pasta. I am not a fan of sausage or meatballs, but I can honestly say that I ate more off of his plate than my own, the recipe delicious. Oh and the broccoli rabe was served with plenty of garlicjust as I like it. Our evening ended tasting the chocolate cake and a slice of the lemon cake. The cakes were paired with a dab of Nutella. This was the best chocolate cake we have found in a long time. I have two critiques: the espresso machine was down and there were extra cooking fumes as we experience a little burning in our eyesor maybe that was the garlic! This is certainly a restaurant to add to your list of special nights out. We will be back!
