Welcome to the new neighborhood. Taste of Asia has moved from Siesta Key and has recently reopened at their new location on south trail. They have a very nice place with indoor seating with the dark wood Thai feel and outdoor patio seating with quite a few tables. It was a cool evening for a change and we enjoyed sitting outside.For my meal I had the excellent dish with the decidedly un-Asian name of Chix On Da Beach, a fried breaded chicken breast with rice and few veggies, and a sauce. The sliced chicken was moist and good. For me I went with the garlic sauce, they also have different types of curry sauces. I thought it was a little overpriced at $16 but I definitely liked it.Our experience with the service was ok. Just minutes after we arrived someone at the restaurant had a medical emergency which I assumed kind of threw off the smoothness of the early part of our visit, but things got back on track. It wasnt a quick meal but also not noticeably slow, and it was a nice meal.Reservations are suggested, especially as we head into the season.
Great food, great prices and friendly family run operation. The pho and pad Thai were very good.
Best meal on siesta key all week.. Friendly and professional all the way. We took sugestions from staff and were glad we did. Will be back to new location next year. We are not foodies so will not get crazy with descriptions. Go and find out for yourself.
I absolutely LOVE Taste of Asia! I personally know the family and they are wonderful people with a great sense of humor. The heavenly slices are exactly what they sound like. Slices of pork with spices and sticky rice. AMAZING! And they have the best pad Thai hands down. It’s a must try!
Quick and easy. Service was good–small place, liked the Asian beer, meal was hot and served as we asked, No issues.
Excellent asian fare. First time to Taste of Asia and really liked it.Family owned and very friendly. Everything they recommended was well prepared: house specialty of noodles from Laos, steamed dumplings and fresh rolls (shrimp wrapped in rice paper).Everything was fresh and lightly sauced.They recommended the curry, which we will have when we go back!
The Pad Thai and the Panang Curry were soooo good. We come to Sarasota once a year and this place will be on our list of places to go from here on out.
