Don’t expect WOW… but it’s still good Thai food. FOODAlthough the amount given tends to lean towards the skimpy side, the dishes are very delish. The vegetables were freshly crunchy and the sauces were not overbearing. On the other hand, the cold dishes seem to have the flavor caked around the food item as opposed to soaked insidewhich is preferable. Although Ive asked for spicy, my stir-fries have never made me cry yetand I know authentic Thai dishes are normally tear-jerkers for these brown babies. Catering to sensitive American tongues perhaps? ATMOSPHEREVery ornate and draped in many gold colors. Statues and dark wood abounds. Mix this in with the dim lighting and deep-seated booths… and this can create a very personal space especially for date nights.SERVICEEager to please we actually had several servers (including the manager I assume) approach our table and ask if everything was well. It actually became minor annoying after the 10th time.
Avoid!!. Notice all their good reviews are given by a similar name, probably an employee. Pay attention to the bad reviews and save yourself the trouble. There are plenty of good Thai and Sushi places in Sarasota! Stay away from this nightmare!
Not my favorite place. I came across this restaurant on http://Restaurant.com. I usually don’t go to this area of Sarasota, but decided to give it a try. The service was slow, they never took drink orders, and the Tom Yum soup was too thick, but our entrees were good. In the end, they refused to take the http://Restaurant.com gift certificate and claimed that they did not know how their restaurant ended up on the site. We won’t return.
Very selective. What a find!!!! The red curry chicken with vegetables, vegetarian broth soup, and sushi was excellent!!! Even my young children LOVED it! The food is fresh and healthy. We already have plans to return with friends. A MUST try!
Finally got around to trying this place out last night, I know how popular Bangkok is in Sarasota, but I wasn’t a fan of their food. When I want Thai, I go to Miss JC Garden in Lakewood Ranch, which to me is the best in town. Thailand Steakhouse is a close second. Quiet but hip atmosphere when I picked up my takeout, courteous staff. I got the Pad Thai, and it was fantastic. Not too bold, very spicy and large portion size. The spring rolls were the best I’ve had. Can’t wait to go back and try something else!
Best Sushi in town!. Hands down best sushi in Sarasota. Yes their Thai food is good – but their sushi is their secret weapon. I recommend their Spicy Tuna or Volcano roll (Spicy Tuna w cooked crab on top) + Spider roll and a Sunomono for good measure.Eat in may take some time but To Go is always a great option. This is my personal favorite spot when coming home to greet the parents.
Consistently great food and service. My wife and I have made rid our special spot for lunch and dinner. Nice QUIET atmosphere.
