Drove from Orlando and they didn’t disappoint! My husband is from Chicago and is always on the hunt for an authentic Italian beef and this was it! Thumbs up. Nice clean and filled with Chicago memorabilia very nice.
Karenbike. I love hot dogs every once in awhile. This is the place to get the Chicago Works dog with everything on it. The hot dog is good but small. I had room to go around the corner for a cupcake!
Do you like good dogs with all of the toppings, thick Midwestern accents, and da Bears? This place is the real deal. I had the char grilled polish dog smothered in grilled onions and mustard (highly recommended by myself and the guy behind the counter) and my girlfriend opted for the aptly named Belushi Burger(also recommended). It’s cheap, quick, and an awesome post beach snack just minutes from Siesta Kay.
Found on Internet while in a pub up the street. Not disappointed. Had cheese burgers and cheese fries. Great bun and beef. Service was great and friendly. Seating was ok but not a place to bring more than a few friends to chat. This place is all about eating.
Great sandwich. Without hesitation, Tony recommended his Italian Beef (but followed that by saying everything was good). He was proud of his Beef, and for good reason. It was a delicious sandwich. Soft bread, good sized, and had lots of beef. When he asked me if I wanted sweet or hot peppers and I said neither, he suspected I was a rookie. He was friendly and helpful and even gave me samples of both styles of peppers to try. Ill leave the authenticity opinions to others, to me it was a great sandwich. It was wet and Tony offered to make it wetter if I wanted. I was full but still wanted to try his Chicago Dog (loaded). I liked it and if I had a better appetite when I ate it Id probably like it even more. The place is small, counters and stools, just 1 table. It was not busy at noon but I overheard it was unusually slow this day. The place is Chicago. There are Chicago sports and political pictures and other Chicago items everywhere. Only takes a second to know Tony himself is Chicago through and through.
Had the sausage and beef sandwich with mozzarella. Awesome! Next time I’ll get it with xtra gravy. The owner Tony was friendly and very appreciative of the business.
OMG, DELISH!. Seriously, Tony’s is one of the best little places for non-nonsense food ANYWHERE. For the quality and quantity, the prices are a STEAL (burger and fries or Italian beef and fries for under $10!!!).And let me say that we’d been to every burger joint in town trying to determine the best–guess what? Tony’s blows away everyone. Not kidding–Square 1, Five Guys, Cheeburger Cheeburger, Patrick’s, etc.–we used to think we knew the best spots until coming here. Now we don’t go anywhere else.Although I’m not a fan of Italian beef sandwiches in general, my husband loves theirs. He gets it dipped in the au jus and loaded with hot peppers.I’ve tried it, and sadly, I’m still not a fan.But the burgers? OMG, it’s as good as when you cook it yourself on the grill–and the regular size one (which is big) is $3.50!The fries? YUM. They’re blanched in vinegar for 24hrs and are by far the best I’ve had *in my life*!Be warned that the interior of Tony’s is the pits. It’s tiny and with sitting bar areas back-to-back that are uncomfortable (backless bar stools and inadequately sized eating area) and the decor rough (Chicago sports pics, mainly). In the summer, it’s unbearably hot b/c the grills are right there in the one tiny area. But none of that stops us. We’re there at least twice a month because the food’s just outstanding.
