Best Seafood That We Have Found In The Area. We ate here five years ago while vacationing at Siesta Key, and couldn’t wait to get back to try it again. They have made a lot of improvemnets, including adding a lot of out door seating. The food is still excellent, and the wait staff is friendly and efficent. We ate here twice on this trip, and my only complaint is the beer was not cold. I will put up will a cool not cold beer for food this good.
Stone crab was sooo good!. I have eaten here a few times. I stick with steamed shellfish (very simple to do if ingredients are fresh) and my experience has been great. The smoked mullet spread is the best.
Worst ever!. Ordered two $22 entrees and couldn’t eat either. Poor quality of fish and horrible flavor. Also ordered two lunch specials that we also couldn’t eat because of fishy taste. Waiter didn’t care and just brought a box to take home. A waste of $80!!! Unbelievable . Should have been given a refund
Not as Expected. Went to Walt’s restaurant 4th of July, they closed at 6 p.m.. we arrived with people visiting from up North a little after 5. Maybe we were there before closing, fried clams were a mess of fried hard strips, potatoes not cook and cold, vegetables cold, the staff wanted out, no use to complain. We must have received the leftovers from the day. Fried scallops were so small it was shameful. Sorry Walt.
Excellent food! This was one of the less pricey restaurants we are at this week, and it was the best! I had the grilled mahi mahi and it was absolutely delicious. You can tell the fish is fresh and the cooks obviously know how to cook it right. I highly recommend stopping by here!!
Food was impeccable, and the service was awesome! We came in this past Sunday and sat outside, we were greeted promptly and our waitress was very friendly and knowledgable of the history. This is a timeless establishment and we always look forward to our yearly visit.
Been coming here since 1968 at older location. It is better than ever. We live 90 miles away. Too bad. One of the best seafood places anywhere.
