Complete GARBAGE! Triple D EPIC Fail!. This place sucks. Trust me when I tell you. I could go back 10 more times and it would always suck. It was old and dingy and the food was lackluster. I am honestly surprised this place attracted Food Network. Maybe I am too picky but when I go to Triple D spots, I expect the food to shine. Would never go back to this dump!

Saw it on DDD, and was concerned after reading the reviews. However, we gave it a shot anyway, and I’m really glad we did. Do not go there expecting a fancy place, it truly is a dive…. But the food is great. We had a party of 5 and everyone’s meal was great. The service truly was above and beyond, and the server was very knowledgable and helpful. His suggestions were spot on. Being a butcher shop, their cuts of meat are excellent they sure know how to cook a steak. The turducken was very good and definitely worth trying. I wouldn’t hesitate to go again. It’s just not fancy, so if that’s what you’re looking for you should go elsewhere. It’s simply a family owned restaurant serving up delicious food.

My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon to make reservations for later that night. We specifically told the hostess we would be coming for the prime rib and even asked if 7:15 would be too late. We were assured they would not sell out by then, so we put down our name and also made note that we wanted a booth (the tables were right up next to the deli meat case). So we left and came back with our family at the allotted time and the hostess (same girl) took us to a table, at which point I reminded her that we had requested a booth, so we had to go back and wait 15 minutes. Ok fine no worries everyone makes mistakes. After waiting we’re taken to our table and the first thing our waitress tells us when she gets to the table is that they’re out of prime rib. At which point we explain that we had specifically made a point to make sure the prime rib wouldn’t be sold out, and asked to see a manager. To which she replied that SHE was the manager and said she’d give us a minute to decide if we wanted to stay. Never apologized, never acknowledged the [multiple] errors her staff had made, and never showed any concern for our genuine disappointment. Stayed anyway bc it was too late to go somewhere else- gator bites were minuscule and half-burned and the rest of the food was fine. Very disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

Went for turducken; for 18.95 the school cafeteria provides a much better meal with more sides. Dont believe the hype. Whipped potatoes were fake. Beer was excellent though.

The New York Style Reuben was the best Reuben I have ever eaten and I have eaten a lot of Reuben’s . Would highly recommend it. Staff is really friendly and will be back again worth the the hour drive.

Ordered the turducken. It was delicious. I don’t understand the negative reviews. This is a great diner with a great serve staff. It’s worth the trip from Madeira Beach.

Good, affordable, local steakhouse. Alpine Steakhouse was a pleasant surprise. We had read the reviews……many of them dissing the turducken…….but, we had no desire for turducken so we gave it a try, and were glad we did.I had the prime rib special $12.95, and my wife had the filet mignon. Mine was a very good size portion, cooked perfectly, and served with au jus, and raw horseradish…….a choice of baked potato, rice, or pasta. I had the potato and it was quite good. My wife’s filet was good. She said it was a bit dry (hey, there is no fat in filet mignon), but the side sauce was excellent. She had it with the vegetables, which was a mix of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, green and yellow squash. Nicely steamed, and still with a crunch. We also started with the homemade potato chips (based on other diners recommendations). They were not wrong. Definitely homemade, hot from the fry, and done just right. Served with ranch dressing for dipping. YUM.Service was excellent. Quick, efficient, and friendly. No pretention here folks……just a nice local place.Overall very good. You are not paying for fancy surroundings and white tablecloths. It looks like a 60’s diner………but a very good steak is $21…….and they usually have specials. They also have a deli/butcher shop, which had a good selection of meats and sausages. Italian sausages, which are usually $12.95 per pound were on sale for $3.95 a pound.Overall a very good local steak house. Visited July 2012
