We had booked a table here for our anniversary. They didn’t really give a f***. Just another customer. I had learned the owners are from my home country, South Africa. The menu reflected a few South African inspired elements but nothing traditional. The food was quite normal, it wasn’t amazing nor bad. For starters we had soup and for mains I had the lamb shank the wife had ravioli I think. The food was well cooked but lacked creativity. The decor is tacky and clearly needs an update, I felt like I was having dinner at a retirement function. Based on the type of food and interior design it obviously caters to a more senior market. I think it works well for what the restaurant is and the elderly seemed to embrace the out of date menu and decor. The service was top notch, the waitress made great recommendations and was well informed about the menu.
