A new place on the circle. Greek food has arrived on St Armands Circle. Blu Kouzina opened about 3 weeks ago and is already popular. We stopped in early this evening for dinner. The place was almost empty when we arrived but busy by the time we left. Reservations are recommended.We started with their skillet sizzling Saganaki with Figs, a wonderful start with this salty cheese topped with the sweetness of cooked figs. It also helped pass the time before our entrees arrived. We ordered the Mousaka and a chicken dish called Kotopoulo Fourno. We were told the Mousaka would take about 20 minutes. They bake each individual serving when ordered, no large pan where they pre-bake and nuke a square as needed. They do not even have a microwave in their open kitchen. The Mousaka did take about 20 minutes and was delicious.The Kotopoulo Fourno dish was a small chicken about the size of a Cornish game hen, with potatoes. It was also good but more difficult to eat, at least for me, as I struggled with small bones.We also tried one of their desserts, the traditional Greek dessert Galaktoboureko, convenient to split as it came as two custard cups. I prefer a sweeter dessert but from what I have read tonight the dessert was done as it should. In our case it took too long for the dessert to be ready which kind of dragged out the dinner a little too much.The place had a blue and white professionally decorated look with seating both inside and in a covered area outside. It was unseasonably cool this evening which encouraged most customers to be inside, which increased the noise level. Our server was very nice and patient with us, answering our many questions. The other server, which we didnt interact with, seemed more of an outgoing take charge sort of individual. We liked the place.
