Great place with great food!. I went the other day on a recommendation from a friend and I’m glad that I listened to her. Nice calm atmosphere with very friendly staff and great food. Talked to the owner Bob for a little bit and heard some really awesome stories, will be coming back again with some friends of mine soon.
Hidden Treasure. A little hard to find, trust the directions! I had a big, juicy, tasty MOOSE burger (not actual moose!), homemade potato chips with melted blue cheese, and split the Rum on the Rails dessert. Our waitress was GENUINELY friendly, and Bob gave us a tour of the train cars (yeah, it’s an actual train!) which are filled with circus memorabilia. I had no idea this was right under my nose here in Sarasota, a few minutes from downtown Main St. Fantastic!
Fun! Fun! Fun!. I brought my Mother and my son here on my son’s birthday weekend and we had a wonderful time! What a unique setting! It was so much fun eating lunch on the train and then getting to see all of the historical photos and memorabilia on display. The menu was limited but everything that we had was exceptionally good. My Mother had the BLT sandwich fresh/ripe veggies and crispy bacon. My son had the Tilapia Sandwich which he said was excellent. I had the Roasted Romaine Salad which was totally delish! The Romaine was just at the right level of wilt and perfectly seasoned. I ate every last drop and might have licked the plate clean had we not been in a public setting. To top it all off we had excellent service from our lovely server Lindsay!
Great place, great food, and my seven year old nephew loved it!. Wow, this place is great!! I went here today with my family. It is so cozy, how cool is it to eat on a train of all things! To start, I wanted to say, its a little hard to find, so I recommend using the website on their website because GPS was not working right. The train is inside the property and my GPS kept taking us in circles around it, but when I pulled the map via their website we found it so easily. The food is great. The waitress was really nice, and bob let my nephew play with the wooden train car he made. He was wonderful. He used to be a teacher and you can tell he really does love kids. It was so nice. We were able to tour the train while Bob cooked our food, and let me tell you, if you want to see everything, in every picture. It’s gonna take you some time. We didn’t finish our first tour before the waitress came to get us for food. Our food was great! I had the Brie and Berry sandwich and it is AMAZING! Best grilled cheese I’ve ever had! After we were done with our meal, Bob was able to take us through to see the rest of the car, since we were the last guests and he was done cooking. We stayed almost 30 minutes after they closed going on the tour. It was great! I suggest you take a few hours to do this, it seems like a great ol’Florida experience with a nice and relaxed kinda vibe. Truly wonderful!

My children and I love it!. I have been several times, LOVE the food and if you are just visiting Sarasota, its a MUST.
