  The service was amazing and the food was great and it was a historical sight, its a shame that not many people know about this amazing restaurant, I recommend eating at this place 10/10 . you will not regret it.

  Visiting Bobs Train should be a Sarasota bucket list item. I wonder how many people even know about this place? It is about the most hidden away restaurant in the area. That you are reading this review means you are learning something about Bobs Train. Thats good, because you really should experience it at least once.Im going to jump right to the food we had today and tell you it was really good. It was Sunday so they have a buffet, which is eggs the way you want them, but the popular choice is their made to order omelets. You select any of the 34 items they offer. Thats what my wife had, not all 34 items but a few including crabmeat, and raved about it. It was not busy today so I was able to order their famous M.O.O.S.E burger from their menu, a Black Angus Burger with Mozzarella, Olives (green), Onion, a homemade horseradish Sauce, and Extras like lettuce and tomatoes. The sauce was mild but noticeable, adding a moist messiness. I loved the burger even more each time I bit into one of those green olives. I do love green olives. So, high marks on the food, higher than I expected to find.You are dining inside a Ringling Bros. railcar that has been restored. While there was no clickity-click or swaying back and forth, it was still pretty cool. The train doubles as a museum where in other cars you can look through hundreds of photos of circus performers and animals. Bob, yes there is a Bob at Bobs Train, is a storyteller as well as the cook. The man has lived a full and rich life, perhaps a few, and is happy to share his stories and opinions with you. Give yourself some extra time to enjoy the experience

  We love this place!. To say this is the most unique eatery in Sarasota is an understatement. Bob’s Train is a cute little diner situated on an actual train. You never have trouble finding parking here, and the staff is all friendly and warm. Since we discovered it, we eat here on a regular basis, and we feel like family. We love bringing new guests who are amazed when we drive up to a train (off the beaten path) and announce this is where we are having lunch or dinner. We always leave with a smile on our face after the DELICIOUS food and TRIP BACK IN TIME with all of the Sarasota and circus memorabilia found throughout the 4 rail cars. I recommend the Moose Burger, the Kielbasa with peppers and onions, Egg Salad Sandwich, Brie and Berry sandwich, and Chocolate Spaghetti! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience and we are lucky to have it right here in Sarasota. I definitely recommend it to anyone!20 Feb, 2015Chocolate Spaghetti. Angel hair noodles tossed in butter and sugar, then coated in Ghirardelli chocolate, and topped with vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream.
