Great little place for lunch. I happened onto this little lunch spot after a business meeting in town. Relaxed with a cup of coffee while waiting for my hot pressed turkey sandwich. I really enjoyed it. This place is small and I was lucky to get there early for lunch. The service is pleasant but on the slow side. In their defense, the food was made to order, very good and presented nicely. The desserts looked tempting so I tried the apple pastry. Great with coffee (free refill). Nice little place.
I finally found an opportunity to visit Burns Court Caf. It is small, but still larger inside than I expected, there were probably 10 small tables. They also have outdoor seating. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. I ordered Mushroom Quiche with a salad, an Apple pastry, and coffee. They offer all sorts of coffees, I just had a regular cup. The quiche was not very large but was very, very good. The slice was wide but thin with the mushrooms on the top. As to the small size, we should all eat smaller serving sizes. Might be a French thing. The apple pastry was also very good. Again, not too large, or maybe I was hungrier than I thought. I verified they make everything they serve.Service was fine with just one small bump. I dont think I would have gotten a refill of my coffee had I not finally asked, and I also prefer having coffee refills brought to the cup, not the cup taken to the coffee. Overall I liked the place. It is like a small French caf. They have local artist items on display and I like the natural light coming through large window.
Love.. Walk here from my house to get very friendly genuine service couple times a week. Not to mention the properly done coffee.. AWESOME quiche and baked goods. Croissants baked fresh every morning I believe.. There is care & love put into everything . Thank you burns CRT.
