An ok visit. Our expectations were a little different than what we found. It was a cool Friday evening, cool enough that there were few people strolling around the circle and few people at Cha Cha Coconuts. Very unusual, we always see Cha Chas busy but tonight it was very slow.We decided to stop in for dessert, my wife also looking for coffee. It is not a dessert place, nor is it a coffee place. My wife tried the Key Lime pie and only had a few bites, complaining about an aftertaste, and told me the coffee was bad. I wasnt hungry but wanted to try something and they only offer a couple of dessert items, so instead I decided on a half rack of the Voo Doo Pork Ribs. Listed as their specialty I found the ribs ok, nothing special. They arrived piping hot, making them difficult to eat, but better too hot than too cold. The BBQ sauce was pretty good. I was not impressed with the fries and the coleslaw did not have any real taste. Maybe if I had showed up hungry…The food was mediocre, service was fine, and we enjoyed the entertainment. They had an very good performer who played older music I personally liked. One of the songs was American Pie, I cant think of any other names now. I bet if you stopped in for a laid back evening as mentioned in some of the other reviews, tried some of their island drinks with your friends, you would have much better than just an ok visit.
