Best Peruvian in the West Coast!. I went with friends for a Ceviche, and after tried in other Peruvian restaurants around, this was INCREDIBLY…wow the fish so tasty prepared with all authentic flavors, we also ordered Limo Saltado (beef sauted in a wok). Soooo tasty… Great South American wine list, include Peruvian wine….Service very friendly! We totally recommend INKANTO if you are in Sarasota

Like I promised I’m back to Inkanto. ….This food us out if this world, without mentioning the world class service. Fernando the owner and his staff make this restaurant the the first stop in Sarasota. Definitely a great experience!!24 Feb, 2014The food was fantastic and the personalized service by the owner and his staff was amazing, making our dining experience one of the best. Not to mention the ceviche and Peruvian wine made it so perfect. Definitely going back.

TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE HORRENDOUS SERVICE. HORRENDOUS!!!! Arrived 20 minutes early to our reservation and asked the woman up front if it was okay to be early and she said no problem whatsoever. 20 minutes later we hadn’t even been offered a drink and NO ONE had even acknowledged us. We flagged down a man and he has THE GALL to tell us that because we were early to our reservation that they couldn’t serve us and that they were short staffed so we had to continue waiting because the other tables had to be served first. He did not offer us a drink or an appetizer or bread or anything and went ON AND ON about how it was our fault that we arrived early even when we told him that we had asked the woman if that was okay and he acknowledged that we had! What?!? We got up and left. Skip this joint.

We liked it. Inkanto bills itself as an Authentic Peruvian Restaurant. Im no expert but I know someone who is…our server. A more passionate person would be hard to find. Passionate about the food, passionate about the country, and passionate about giving us the best experience he could. He made our evening memorable. If Carlos says the food is authentic, I absolutely believe him.Authentic, but was it good? The four of us all agree it was. We started by sharing a Fish Ceviche (Ceviche Tradicional de Corvina). I know a little something about Ceviche and this was a generous portion and exceedingly good. For my entre I tried the Lomo Saltado, a mixture of cubes of steak and other items, served with a pyramid of rice and some French fries. I liked it all. Those dining with me only had good things to say about their entrees.Inkanto is kind of hidden in a shopping area behind Chilis along US 41 just south of Bee Ridge. If you like authentic Peruvian food you should make an effort to track down this restaurant and give it a try.

You’ll Love Inkanto. We wrote down the names of the appetizers and entrees (all in Spanish) and looked up the recipes for them when we got home. Inkanto’s cuisine follows these classic Peruvian recipes, and do not cheapen or alter them. We haven’t yet been to Peru, but Lord willing, we will for a few days, next month. I have the feeling that we’ll find these same dishes served in Lima at the better local restaurants there. We’ve only been once to Inkanto, and had what the cute, blonde, Polish waitress recommended. The small Peruvian tamale appetizer (Tamalito on their menu); and for entrees, the Arroze con Pato (duck), and Macho Pesco (muscles, big filet of grouper – like fish, scallops, shrimp, & squid in a wonderful saffron sauce) were really good. Frankly, I don’t see how they can do the Macho Pesco entree for only $20, because of the generous portion, and the expense of the ingredients. If you don’t go there soon, you’ll hate yourself!
