Look for the big red bus. Java Dawgs permanent location in the old gas station on south 41 has been closed for some time, but the big red double decker open top caf bus is still a fixture at the Sarasota Farmers Market each Saturday, serving up coffee to a steady line of customers. I stopped by this morning for a cup.I actually caught them at an awkward time, their usual bus with the big Java Dawg logo had broken down a couple of weeks ago and they were using a backup big red double decker bus. I found it interesting they even had a second bus, but I suppose that isnt important for this review. What did make a difference was the layout inside was a little different so the staff was having to adjust. Ive stopped by in the past and things have gone a little smoother.Customers order through a window. I had a small coffee. It was basically self-serve, they give me a cup and you pour your own from a half dozen flavors available. The coffee I had was very good, Java Dawg is in the coffee business selling their own craft coffee blends online. They also offer tea and I know they have hot chocolate. Im not sure now about specialty coffees like mochas and Frappuccinos, I did not see a menu displayed. Their website does mention lattes.When strolling through the very popular Farmers Market the bus is easy to find, and you can even enjoy your drink while sitting up on the top deck of the bus.

Several varieties brewed fresh, nice list of espresso drinks, muffins and such. Bagged coffee beans. The cafe is a rustic old 1960’s gas station.
