Beautiful Restaurant – Language Issues. I was excited to check this restaurant out on a recent trip to Sarasota. I am on a restricted diet and can only eat Korean food when in an Asian restaurant. I tried calling before I arrived, and due to language issues, the waitress led me to believe they had a wide variety of Korean dishes, when in fact they only have three. I am sure the food is fantastic, but we had to leave because I wasn’t going to be able to eat any of it. If you go there for sushi, you won’t be disappointed. If you have dietary issues, communication can be an issue.
It was a nice surprise!. My husband and I like Japanese food, but it can be expensive. This place did a very good job with the food and the price was more reasonable compare to other Japanese restaurants.
Right on target. Have eaten here a couple times now and have been pleased each time. Service is efficient and unobtrusive. Sushi is fresh, well constructed and beautifully presented. Comparatively speaking, prices are fair.
Best sushi!. I am from UK and visit Sarasota numerous time a year. I love the food in America, and that is one of the main things I look forward to when booking to go. Out of all the food and restaurants in Sarasota, Jpan is without doubt THE BEST. Really nice, friendly people, and the food is just incredible. The best sushi and not crazy prices! Cant wait to go back

Excellent food and great atmosphere. Super friendly staff. They do traditional very well but some of the menu is unexpected and just as delicious. I’m a regular!
Omg absolute fav sushi place! Everything there is awesome from the food to service to the ambiance. Can’t wait for them to open in Lakewood Ranch!!
