  A very good surprise. We had decided to go to Sam Sneads restaurant tonight and discovered they closed for business after last night. We had no idea, and found ourselves needing a Plan B. Knicks was in the same block, we gave them a try, and were very pleased. That was a much better surprise than the one about Sam Snead closing.Gastropub is a good description. They had a very nice selection of sandwiches and entrees, and several specials to which our server gave his excellent spiel, talking quickly because there was so much to say. My wife had been set for Sams burgers and ended up getting what she said was a very good Knicks burger. I also went with a sandwich, a special blackened prime rib sandwich that was tender and flavorful.Nice place, to us more a restaurant than a tavern. As other have described, it was also a neighborhood place. The restaurant staff seemed to know all the customers that came in after us and even the customers seemed to know each other. All in all this was one of our better accidental visits.

  Great food. A wonderful local and possible throwback to the time when service is truly friendly, the food is great and the prices are reasonable. The staff is always willing to accommodate it customers. I frequent the tavern as often as I ca.Dick; Melrose

  Went for lunch on a weekday, got great service and an amazing sandwich. Great restaurant!

  Great neighborhood restaurant. Knicks is a great place with a neighborhood feel located in Southside Village on Osprey Ave. Great burgers, salads, the specials are always good.
