A great trip. When visiting Sarasota one activity you really should consider is taking a cruise on Le Barge. We took the 2 hour Tropical Sunset Cruise. For us it was a relaxing trip looking across the water while listening to great music. The boat went around the bay where you can see both natural habitat and the expensive habitats of the moneyed group. While our sunset was not notable this trip, we did get to see a wild dolphin. The boat has two levels, we stayed downstairs and mostly just took in the view. On the top deck the band played where real palm trees swayed and there is more of a party atmosphere.During the trip they offer both alcohol and some snacks. I enjoyed a Le Barge Dog, a big quarter pounder that comes with packets of condiments, a small container of slaw, and a bag of chips. Not at all fancy but good. They also offer beer, wine, and more. Sitting on the top deck with friends, or even dancing, listening to music and sipping on an island drink, that is paradise. To enjoy this paradise making a reservation is very much encouraged. The Le Barge Dog I had was inexpensive at $4 but it did cost us $28 each (without any coupons) to board the boat.
