Delicate and delicious. On a stroll around St Armands tonight I decided it was finally time to stop in and try a couple of these Macarons. My less than sophisticated self has since learned these are not expensive coconut cookies but rather not so expensive pastries. At $2.10 each they are not cheap but I had convinced myself they cost even more, so I was actually pleasantly surprised.Le Macaron has a nice selection in very attractive colors. I picked the Belgium Chocolate and the Salted Caramel, but they all looked great. After the first small bite I realized these are really delicately constructed treats. Very interesting. My two Macarons soon disappeared. They are small.Le Macaron also offers gelato, coffee, and chocolates. My wife got a meringue that she thought was too sweet. I tried some and thought it was sweet and crunchy and simply disappears in your mouth. Everything was delicious.
