One of the best Brunch Buffets anywhere! Split king crab legs, prime rib, shrimp cocktail, biscuits and gravy, smoked salmon, omelet bar, and pastries to die for! The list goes on and on. Don’t forget $5 mimosas and bloody Mary’s!
Female bartender. 5:00, nearly empty, service terrible as personnel chatted with each other. Drinks brought to our high top and put down with not a word spoken, no napkins and no water that one of our party requested. Went to the bar and had to interrupt their conversation to get cocktail napkins and water. Was treated as if I was bothering them with such a frivolous request. I have had several bad experiences in the bar with bad and indifferent servers. In restaurant have had much better experience.
Finally! SRQ has been graced with a sexy restaurant that is reminiscent of Miami’s hot spots. #LouisModern serves #imaginativecocktails and contemporary #farmtotable cuisine that leaves you wanting to try everything on the menu. #Bravo
A nice foodie experience. We were downtown today and interested in lunch. As we were exiting that great new parking garage on Palm Ave there was Louies Modern, a place we had not considered. They are located on the first floor of the parking garage a couple of blocks west of Main St, easy (at least for us) to overlook, but we didnt today. Today we stopped and had lunch, and that was a good decision. It was a beautiful cool day so we sat outside, making the experience a little more casual than it may have been had we had dinner indoors. The Thunder by the Bay motorcycle event was this weekend which made sitting outside that much more interesting.I tried and really liked the Louies Bistro Burger. My wife had the Black & Blue Pizzetta, which I sampled and also liked. Both dishes, as well as the other dishes, were well-described in the menu. Dining at Louies Modern can be a foodie experience. Im so much not a foodie, obvious if you have read a few of my reviews, yet I can still assure you the food we had was very good even without grasping all the ingredients that went into the dishes. The menu was printed and dated, leading me to think it changes often. What a fresh idea. Service was attentive and excellent. We are glad we finally stopped by.
Will try again…. Louies was in a turmoil when we visited upon its premier opening…waiter was not attentive..food was not good….but the manager has promised to give usanother try…so we will….hope all the bugs have been chased out!and the Chef is in a good mood !!
