Please pass the salt. This was my first experience at Michael’s on East and was a birthday dinner for my girlfriend. We ordered the Crispy Asian Duck and Hoisin Spring Rolls and Crispy Calamari for appetizers. The spring rolls were excellent and the calamari was cooked perfectly. However, the sauces for the calamari were very mayonaise-like and salty. We ordered Phil’s Carved Prime 14oz. New York Strip and a 7 oz. Filet. To start, the potatoes and shitake mushrooms were excellent. That is where it ends. The Arugula salad was EXTREMELY salty and and the lemon combination made it inedible. Both steaks were cooked well but we were unable to finish more than a few bites of the steak due to the excess use of salt. Extremely disappointed in the experience.
If you don’t like Michael’s try Mc Donalds. Always great and always exceed our expectations and have been doing so for 20 years for us! Thanks Michael!
Supurb!. This restaurant was very entertaining in combination with good food! Went there for a birthday party with 6 other girls and everyone walked out satisfied
It may be good but the photo does not look appetizing
Memorable. Only ate there twice, but they were both superb!
After an unhappy dining experience many years ago, we pretty much avoided this place unless we were there for a special event. We finally decided to give it another try – so glad we did! The ownership appears to be making a real effort to attract the next generation of diners. Food is executed beautifully using quality ingredients and service is professional withou being stuffy. The prices relegate it to a special occasion dining event for most, but the 3 course regional menu (which changes monthly) is a bargain at $25.
Great friendly welcome. Food delicious if somewhat pricey…. But worth it! Service excellent. Thank you to our wonderful waitress ciara. Highly recommend this restaurant!
