We were looking for a local restaurant to eat at and came across this little cute, Italian style, sandwich place. From the decor, to the amazing veal cutlet parmigiano, to the bolognese, I was impressed with eveything! Great service and suggestions by the server! If you’re looking for a good meal in Sarasota you gotta check this place out!

Good food; nice people. This little place is primarily a take out for Italian food but also has some tables. The food is the attraction not the atmosphere. All sorts of Italian prepared foods like lasagna, salads, and deserts are very good and as a result, Mozzarella Fella is recommended.
Glad we stopped in. We rather unexpectedly ended up at Mozzarella Fella today for lunch. I immediately liked the place, rather small with decorated walls, a few tables, and a lunch counter running along the front window where you can sit and watch the world pass by. There is a TV where we could keep up with the Tampa Bay Bucs game (they won).I immediately liked the people, very friendly and patient. This is a family operation where they enjoy what they do.Caught a bit unprepared I went with an easy choice, the Boars Head Genoa Salami sandwich, something I knew I would like. And I liked it, the meat was very flavorful, the bread a perfect match, and the fresh mozzarella added to the enjoyment. I wish the sandwich was a little larger. My wife raved about her soup.I am happy to include my I Like It vote with all the others that have come before me.
Great place. Friendly staff. Fried calamari sandwich especially good.
Don’t miss the Fella. I appreciate the customer service almost as much as the food. Seating can occasionally be a challenge, but don’t let that stop you. The only problem with taking something out is that you might have to share!
Awesome NY style restaurant!. We took a trip from Tarpon Springs/Zephyrhills to Sarasota and stopped off to have something to eat. We had the antipasti, a veal sandwich and eggplant parmesan. All were absolutely delicious! Kudos to the chef! We are originally from Brooklyn, NY and picky about Italian food since I am Italian myself but this was worth the trip! We also loved the decor plus the owners were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back to try the calamari.. 🙂
