This was my go-to sushi restaurant in Sarasota until they cheapened everything I liked!!! The marks roll which was once a delicious grouper roll is now a fishy and awful whitefish(also the same price) and the super crunchy roll is now nothing more than seaweed, rice, and tempura flakes. And it costs more than most high end rolls at other restaurants!!! The fact they care so little about quality and so much about profit will make me never want to go back. I spent over $100 on a date with my girlfriend and had the worst sushi I’ve ever had
This WAS my favorite place to eat. This past Saturday has horrible service, was given the wrong sushi order, reordered still not right. The manger ignored us while he sat at table across from us. Each time someone came to the table it was a different person. PAC Rim is no longer the trendy hip night spot it once was. I will never eat there again. Nor would I recommend it.
Pacific Rim is by far my favorite sushi restaurant in Sarasota. I always stop here for dinner when I am in town. Try the Atlantic Roll! Be prepared to wait for a table if you don’t get there right at 5 pm.. Or better yet make a reservation!
In need of a quick and delicious lunch? Then try Pacific Rim….. I measure most Thai places by their Pad Thai… It’s probably not the best way, but it works for me. The Pad Thai was spot on, tasty and plentiful. My dining partner went for the Sushi ( it never hurts to broaden your food choices ) and they lived it. Mr Robinson. Not at all impressed with this dining experience, food came out cold, overspill from bar crowding our table even putting there drinks down on our table while we were eating , waitress was informed manager did nothing very intimidating , I spoke to the manager at the end of evening he just said ‘sorry’ food very overpriced and tasteless can not believe how this place is so busy will not be going back that is for sure.
