Rico’s Bay Rd, has always been all my sons favorite pizza place, and I as a native New Yorker think it is excellent. We recently had a graduation party catered by them and we got an excellent price, with excellent service and they went over and above in terms of the amount of food which was delicious with multiple dishes. Really an amazing value and experience.
Really good pizza. I bring this pizza to doctors and nurses all the time and this pizza does not disappoint. I love pizza and I have it a lot of places- this is one of the better places around- wonderful crust. Love their white pizza, meat lovers, bbq chicken, and sausage. Great pizza!
Terrible experience. Ordered a pizza for delivery, had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes for it, when I called to find out what had happened, they told me the driver left 33 minutes ago. I live 4 miles away for goodness sake. Pizza arrived ice cold. Called to complain and the female manager offered another pizza which would take another 30 minutes or credit. I took the credit, today I called and they said they had no record and would not honor the credit!!! Didn’t have a female manager!!! They offered me $10 off my order. My original order was over $20 for a bad, bad experience. Do not trust them, they are very dishonest and do not care for their loyal customers. I will not order from them again, and neither will the other members of my family and I will inform all my friends about their dishonesty.
Very good pizza. I finally made my first visit to this Ricos for lunch and I was very happy with my pizza. I had a personal pizza listed as Meat, which had ham, sausage, pepperoni and small pieces of bacon. The crust was good and held up well with all the meat and cheese. Made to order and arriving pizza hot, it took under 15 minutes from order to table.I liked the place. I sat inside, they also have a porch area. There are a couple of TVs. I finally looked up and saw they have a skylight in the dining room, adding even more natural light inside and on my table. It seemed like a reasonably popular place for lunch and takeout business.As a first time visitor I would have wanted the mechanics of the visit to go a little better. Nothing went wrong, just a little help dealing with the uncertainty of what to do would have been nice. I walked in just as a Rico person crossed by the door, I said hi and so did he, and off he disappeared. It didnt take me too long to figure out no one was paying any attention to me and I should seat myself. I dont expect a greeter and seater for fast food places but Ricos is a real restaurant. If someone would have quickly realized I was standing by the doorway and invited me to seat myself, we would have gotten off to a better start. Seating myself was no problem, they already had menus set up on all the tables, just didnt know right away. The same thing with paying the bill. It was dropped off, I dug out money and set it on the table with the bill. I eventually figured out without anyone telling me I should go up to a register to pay. That would have gone better had someone simply mentioned to me to go pay at the register, or if it was just printed on the bill.Bumpy start at the beginning and the end, very good food in the middle, and now that you have read this review you can avoid the bumpy parts.
Ood ny/no pie near iesta key…. Well, the middle eastern place was closed for dinner :-(. We dove round the corner and bingo!! A great find of a typical up north pie and pasta; great thin crust, nice egg plant on the pie;? we found our at home pie in Sarasota!!
Great Jersey style pizza! Calamari and mussels also good! Service only slow when they are jammed. That’s cause it’s GOOD! Relax. Have a glass of wine!
