A friend and I were in town from NY and needed to stop somewhere for lunch to bring on to the beach and we stumbled across this deli and let me tell you what, we were blown away. The first day we built our own sandwiches, which was all boars head meat and loved it so much that we needed to go back on day two to try it again, and it was just as good the second day. Fresh baked bread that was soft but had great crust, as New Yorkers we couldn’t have asked for a better deli.
Just what I needed. I stopped in for lunch today and had their Italian. It was an average size and very good. The soft bread and generous amount of Boars Head meats was just what I needed today. This is a popular place.It was popular today, I arrived after 1pm and there was a line. Still, it only took 5 minutes or so to place my order, which gave me time to look at the small printed menu displayed above. You order at the counter, they take your name and bring you your food. It only took another 5 minutes before my sandwich arrived.They have seating both inside and out. Inside seating seemed cramped, but that might have just been me, I picked a two top right next to the line and found I was partly in the way.

By far my favorite place to grab lunch in Sarasota. I go alllllll the time! I’ve never had a chicken salad sandwich that has even come close. (try it on a crossiant!)
