Amazing, here for the first night of the new summer menu! Started out with the Crispy Beef appetizer, followed by the Spaghetti Squash dinner and a Poloma to drink, WOW, WOW, WOW! Could not have been better, serve and atmosphere is top notch as well.
Since chef Christian is leaving it’s on a downward spiral. Since Christian , And Kyle and many others have left due to the dirty business practices that when on with Partners ( not the full owners of the establishment!!!) Chris -(kirk’s wife ) and Kirk voelker , this place has been terrible! I give state street a few months until it closes considering the fools who are now running it! Sarasota is a town who is loyal to there originals and not pathetic social climbers who like to take credit for what they did not make and in the high end market christian loyal clients will follow him and not some old , washed up couple thinking they can come in and run the place , when the who’s who of Sarasota will know the REAL truth! State Street was a cool hipster restaurant and now that the Voelker’s are trying to take it from chef Christian H. They are seriously mistaken that he’s just going to lay down and not fight back! By the way Kirk you should take your receipt back to the plastic surgeon that did your wife’s job because it looks like she’s been pulled too many times! I’m from NYC and STATE STREET was the BEST OF THE BEST, it reminded me of my hometown of NYC! But now it’s on a downward spiral to failure!!
