Nice spot. Surf Shack is one of the newer places on St Armands Circle. We stopped in for dinner. They have some interesting things on the menu, I even liked the menu itself. We ended up ordering a Chicken Walnut Goat Cheese Salad and their Mongolian Beef Skillet. My wife enjoyed her salad, said the greens were fresh and I could tell she was very pleased with the choice. I went with the skillet. I had expected something a little different, perhaps comparing it to a dish I had a PF Changs, so I needed to adjust my expectations. I liked the noodles and it was an attractive looking dish, the beef was ok but not crispy. Personal preference, the overall taste could have been better, Im not a big fan of edamame.I very much liked sitting outside on this pleasant evening, watching the tourists stroll by. Our server seemed to be bored but still did a good job, no long waits for anything and she checked back a couple of times to see how we were doing. All in all, a good dinner.

Each time we marveled at the experience. The corn bread is the best we’ve ever had and all of the tacos are tasty. This place also is a terrific value. BTW, the staff is extremely friendly.
