Blue Rooster was a recommendation for me as I am not local to the Sarasota area. While in the area for a Saturday evening gathering I figured I would attend the Sunday Gospel brunch. I enjoyed the atmosphere 100% the live band was amazing and appeared to not have a bad seat from any view. I went without a reservation, and was sat with another table didn’t mind one bit though as I enjoy meeting people. Sunday is a self serve brunch buffet and I was highly disappointed in the food for southern food it was rather bland in flavor. Saying the food was warm would be generous. I tried a little of everything and cant think of one thing that stood out in my mind. Would definitely have to give them another try when food is coming out hot and fresh from kitchen instead of the buffet

Live music due at 7:00. Had Brunswick stew that was good with nice pieces of ham. Biscuits were good but I too wonder if the biscuits weren’t the frozen variety. The menu definitely had southern entree but I can tell you for sure, real southerners don’t put all that stuff on top of their catfish or chicken!
