The store may be wonderful, the prepared food not so much. With the Farmers Market going on, Saturday mornings may be the busiest time for this Whole Foods. We stopped in just before noon on this Saturday.I tried two items, a Lido Beach Club and a slice of pizza. The sandwich from their signature sandwiches list is turkey and a tasteless cheese and a reddish sauce on Ciabatta bread. They offered to press it and I agreed. It was a small sandwich, the bread hard in spots. Maybe Ciabatta isnt the best bread to press. The cheese has Asiago as part of the name, yet no flavor. The sauce had sun-dried tomato as part of its name, yet little flavor. You cannot convince me there was any honey mustard anything on this sandwich. The sandwich was dry and I did not like it.The pizza slice had caramelized onions and walnuts, an interesting and as it turned out, a very nice combination. It was a little sweet. My problem with the pizza was it went from under a lamp to in a triangle box. It was not warm and it was not warmed. Id rate it a little better than ok.I mentioned it was busy, and somewhat confusing. I dont do confusing or chaotic very well, so to me the experience was a negative. The person getting me the food was very nice. We had a little trouble communicating but we got through that, no problem. Whole Foods is primarily a grocery store and not a restaurant. They have seating both inside and out to enjoy your food. Although they have a parking garage I still feel they have a parking problem. Ive always parked away from Whole Foods but I have witnessed cars seeming to struggle getting around in and out of the garage and driving in front of the store. This particular visit I saw no problems but I sure have in the past.So long as Im off topic anyway, there is an access door to steps leading into the garage. People can and often do exit the door but it is locked from the outside. Whats with that Whole Foods? Ive seen so many people, customers, surprised and annoyed to discover the door is locked.
