Don’t Bother Going!. It takes a lot for me to write a scathing negative review of any restaurant, but after our last experience (and it will be our last), at Word of Mouth Restaurant on Osprey Ave., I wanted to let others know about this place. We sat outside and after 10 minutes of waiting to see a waitress or waiter, I went inside, told the person behind the counter that we had seated ourselves and would like to get service. I even picked up menus for our group of four. More waiting, then two gentlemen sat at the table next to us, and finally a tall, older male waiter appeared and took that tables order. Finally this waiter came by to ask us what we wanted to drink. We said we were also ready to order and he said he’d come back for that. He was very unfriendly and seemed uninterested in even taking our order. More waiting, then finally he showed up again, took our order, and disappeared again. 15-20 minutes later, we received our food, which was to include a muffin or scone. No muffin, no scone until I went inside to complain, and by this time only muffins were left to choose from. I saw our waiter casually talking to someone as if he had nothing to do. We got the rest of our meal from another waitress, who was at least apologetic. Then our waiter appeared with a muffin after we had finished our meals with no apologies, no excuses. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. We have never had such poor service!I’ve read other reviews and it seems to be the pattern for this place. It’s sad because this used to be a very good place for breakfast, lunch or even dinner. Now, don’t waste your time!

An excellent breakfast visit. Our server was a delight, friendly and very competent. From beginning to end it all went well, from that first cup of coffee to handling the bill.The food was good too. I had the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs. The hash was minced up quite fine and the mixture included other ingredients that resulted in a fine flavor. The eggs were cooked perfectly.The restaurant was large and bright with windows letting in natural light. They also have outdoor seating. Although shaded by umbrellas it still looked too hot to sit outside, but many did.We enjoyed our visit.
Karenbike. This place is near us and fine for breakfast or lunch. The service is VERY friendly but can be slow. The breakfast items are good and plentiful an tasty. We’ve eaten outside and they are dog friendly there. Make sure they wipe down the tables and watch for food on the ground.
No one wants raw onions in their scrambled eggs. Service was horrible. Took forever to get our food!
