I went here for the first time in almost ten years and it, sadly, didn’t hold up to the memory. Dirty dishes and food that feels like it came from a freezer and a microwave, not a kitchen. I hope they improve.
I have been going to the UCF location for ten years. Giovanni’s is a restaurant that does a few things very well. Their fettucine alfredo with meatballs are excellent, and the pizzas are worth the wait. However, they are inconsistent in the kitchen, and the staff seemingly has no passion for service.
I found the food to be way overpriced for the quality. My family had the zuppa de pesce, manicotti, lasagne and alfredo. All the sauces were watery and the dishes lacked seasoning. Paying over $60 for a meal I could’ve made better myself is not something I care to do again.
Excellent!. Based on the reviews I thought it would be just OK. Instead it was wonderful. We had Eggplant Parmesan and Shrimp Scampi. Both were generous, fresh and delicious. So were the fresh warm garlic bread, and the house salad with basil Italian dressing. Our service was prompt, friendly and professional. We will be back!
The food is mediocre!. My husband had the chicken franchese and I had the pasta in vodka sauce. The chicken franchese tasted like they just dipped the chicken in lemonade before the brought it out, and the pasta in vodka sauce looked and tasted like Chef Boyardee!
No Respect for Our Neighborhood. With so many restaurants in the area, please don’t patronize ones which litter our streets and neighborhoods with illegal signs. Giovanni’s is one of the worst offenders. They should be ashamed. Please avoid them.
The veal Marcella was the best I ever had! The veal and angel hair melted in my mouth. Maybe the best pizza in town. Try this place!
