Terrific. This is a gem of a restaurant. Family run, peruvian recipes and courteous and friendly staff The food stands hands above the specialty restaurants with the variety, consistency and educating staff for the fair of tongue. Why do we always think cuisine that is not American is spicy? Have returned several times and the Papa Relleno and the Corvina and house salad are my favorite.
Very good. Our first visit. We were very pleased. Food was tasty and the service was excellent. Price was reasonable. We will go back again.
First off all the good menu on certain days nice huacatai sauce some plates are decent . Now the bad tip is included also only one waiter prices are high also dont ask for the chicken a la brasa dry to say the least also no authentic peruvian music (if your peruvian you kind of expect it)
An excellent dinner. I want to first write about the gratuity issue. Only 3 of us and they automatically added an 18% gratuity to our check. Thanks to Diegos review I knew to watch for this extremely unusual action. It was stated on the menu but most would look past that assuming it was the more usual gratuity added for large parties. One in my party discussed it with the restaurant and it sounds like they initially felt they needed to do it and now their regular customers are used to it and expect it. At least they should let their customers know when they bring the bill. The restaurant says they usually do, but they did not for us. Not good. With that topic out of the way, I can now rave about the food. They have a fish ceviche appetizer but we were hungry and concerned that would not be enough for 3, so we ordered the dinner size. It was excellent and plenty for us. Some of the fish pieces seemed a little too large but we just moved things around a bit to cook more. Not sure if that was even needed. We also got a Papa Rellena appetizer, a ground beef mixture inside a potato casing. That was also excellent. Everything was excellent. For my entre I had the Lomo Saltado. Excellent. I just had this authentic Peruvian dish last week and learned it really does come with both white rice and French fries. The beef was tender and I enjoyed every bite. The others also enjoyed their entrees, Corvina in a spinach sauce and a chicken and rice dish, the portion sizes large enough for a second meal.We finished this delicious night with a couple of desserts. I recommend the Peruvian ice cream.Service was fine and quite helpful as we discussed various dishes on the menu and solicited recommendations. The restaurant is small and not very fancy, but the food is excellent. We were seated right away without reservations but as more customers arrived I got the feeling making a reservation is prudent.
Food was Ok, I was not impressed with the service. We were only 2 people and the gratuity was already included in the bill, although the waiter never mentioned it and the bill also had space to put additional tip. That to me is very shady. Not going back
Easy to miss this place, but worth finding. Very tasty and good service.
Worst dinning experience!. I don’t know where the chef was last night. I was so excited to try this Peruvian restaurant based on all the good ratings, but was sadly disappointed. Was there 2 1/2 hours and only received a bottle of wine and two appetizers. Had to ask for water 4 times, never received our meal’s we ordered because the waiter messed our ticket up. We decided to leave and pay for the wine and appetizers, they tried to charge us for the dinner’s we did not receive. When I noticed she took it off the bill, but still charged the 18% gratuity on the entire total with the dinners, we paid over $80 for wine and two appetizers. What a rip off! Don’t know if the owner was gone, but I can’t believe the great reviews! My husband had to go to the men’s restroom to get toilet paper for several women because they would not re-stock after knowing they were out. I will never return……
