El Warike (literally ‘Hole in the Wall’) is my favorite restaurant which is great. It’s open 7 days a week. I wish weeks contained more days for dining here.Pros: Tremendous Peruvian cuisine. Tremendous staff. Quaint, intimate atmosphere. Peruvians eat here.Cons: The location is a tiny strip shopping center on 26th Street at Cortez Road. The entry door has burglar bars. The parking lot is plenty safe but looks otherwise.Run, don’t walk to El Warike. You’ll be glad to be the latest to ‘find’ this tiny gem.
Can’t Believe. The whole dining experience was bad. The waiter was lazy and the place was not very busy. Theyadd 18% gratuity to everything even if you just get beverages. The waiter did not deserve !8%.They leave room on the check for a tip and do not tell you. Very Shady will never go back.
