Food is consistent and there is plenty to choose from. From the hot dogs to the pizza. Servers truly care about your experience not just the tip at the end of the night. New location on manatee avenue is very spacious and fixed the parking problem they had at the Cortez location.

As bad a pizza as you can buy. Frozen pizza is just as good because that is what your getting for 20 bucks.Claiming you know how to make a good pie because you were born in Chicago doesn’t make it so. Soggy food service dough and cheap ingredients, is Joey Ds. Won’t be back. Too many places to get decent food! even Papa Johns and Pizza Hut use fresh dough and better ingredients.

Canned ingredients. Pizza was probably a 6 out of 10, so not bad. the worst thing was the canned mushrooms and green peppers. even pizza hut uses fresh mushrooms. i expect more than that when you pay 20$ for a 14 inch pie. the menu says stuffed pizzas, but in reality it was just a regular crust pizza, quite dissapointing.
Busy for a good reason!
Great place for a real Chicago Dog. Normally I would want to try the pizza in a pizzeria place but we arrived after 3:00, too late for any pizza by the slice lunch special. No problem, I also wanted to try a Chicago Dog and instead of pizza, I had the Italian Beef…wet. The dog was excellent. While not very large it was also not very expensive, Vienna and very authentic, and had a nice soft bun. The Italian Beef was large and good. I keep thinking it should be seasoned (i.e. salty) but in reading the other reviews I will defer to them as far as what is a true Italian Beef. I also had a good sampling of the fries and thought they were much better than average. They were seasoned (i.e. salty) and a little crispy. Way better than average.The place was great. They had the typical pizzeria red and white tablecloths and red booths but they also had much more. If you are a Chicago sports fan you would really enjoy the dcor, they have lots of pictures and other Chicago themed items. Several TVs and 60s music were also things I liked a lot.Service was very friendly and helpful. They did an excellent job.
