I’ve been to this restaurant about five times in the 13 years we have been visiting Bradenton. I love the nostalgic atmosphere. It reminds me of the old Chinese restaurants I ate in back in Brooklyn. They still serve their food with those stainless covers. The service and food is absolutely great. We just don’t always go for Chinese food when in town, but when we do it’s to Nam Fongs, if we can get in. I wish they could expand. We’re going to be in town this weekend and hope to stop their for lunch or dinner.

Good food, good prices and great service. We have been wanting to try this place for a while and we were really happy we made it in. It’s a cute little place in a strip mall that is nicely decorated with the typical Chinese decor. It’s not a very big place, maybe 15 tables. They start you out with fried chow mien noodles on the table and a pot of complimentary tea. We started with the egg rolls and they were really good. The cornstarch coating makes them extra crispy and roasted pork inside gives them a nice meaty flavor. Hubby ordered the Nam Fong soup and it was so delicious, lots of noodles, snow peas and roasted pork in a really flavorful broth. For our entrees I had the Sum kip tai, a mix of napa cabbage, snow peas, shrooms, onions and carrots and hearts of Palm in a brown sauce (I asked for brown instead of white) and the meats were crispy fried chix, roasted pork slices and shrimp. It was a really good dish. Our daughter had the Chix Lo Mein which was good and hubby had the pressed duck which is batter fried duck with lots of veggies in a brown sauce. His plate was empty so that’s aye something. We had a plate of white rice and fried rice. The fried was underwhelming, kind of mushy and very little flavor with next to no egg, veggies or pork. The white rice was good ole white rice. Over all it was a nice dinner…not the best Chinese I’ve ever had but I grew up in NYC so I have high expectations. Their prices are reasonable our dinner came to $50 and that includes tax and tip. We will be back for sure.

Lil bit of China Heaven. Visiting from the Midwest. The egg rolls were average, a little different than what I’m used too. The ambiance was strip mallish so a little deceiving as to the quality of the food. The tea and the food were OFF THE HOOK! Mongolian beef was 9 out of 10. General Zoes was 9 out of 10. Same for the white rice, fried rice, and the service. ….I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. ..looking for a delicious affordable 9 ..this is it. Wow, great food and great service … I Loved it.

Egg Roll Heaven. We went to Nam Fong at the end of the night, so we were the last people eating, which always feels a bit awkward. But it was so worth it. Nam Fong was fabulous. I got Beef Lomein with extra garlic, and it was done so well, I didn’t even get any to take home, because I ate it all!! The egg rolls were so amazing. I believe they are battered before being fried. I will forever be a fan. I don’t love egg rolls, except when they are amazing. I LOVE these egg rolls. Just writing about them, makes me want to jump in my car and go get some! Best Chinese Food in Bradenton–For Sure!!! Go later to avoid the crowd.

Favorite bradenton restaurant. I live in Ohio, but, visit Bradenton whenever I can.The first place I go to eat is Nam Fong’s,usually straight from the airport. The food is always delicious ,and, the staff is unerringly helpful and friendly. Can’t miss. Now-where is that airline schedule?
