Papaya salad, chilean sea bass, drunken noodles all very yummy. This restaurant was bought a year ago and they kept the name. I gather the previous owners got bad reviews. I feel bad for them since the food is so good but they are still being judged under the old owners. I’ve eaten there twice now and the food was priced right and wonderful.

Great lunch specials in Bradenton. I took the advice of a coworker and tried this place for lunch. The Pad Thai was so good I went back a few days later and picked some up for dinner. They were busy at lunch, but the service was fast. I will be back for more soon.

Best Thai food in Sarasota Bradenton. The strip mall location isn’t much to look at, but don’t let that stop you. Now that we have found this family run authentic Thai restaurant, we go there at least once a week. Sometimes we just ask the owner/chef to surprise us with a sample of dishes, and we always love them. Her specialty is the healthier Northern Thai cuisine. I love the papaya salad and beef salad with sticky rice, and the fresh rolls are fabulous. My husband likes the pad thai, which has been way too gloppy everywhere else in this area. This chef makes all her sauces fresh. She made a special soup for us that isn’t on the menu. It was delicious!!! I don’t know how to spell it, but it sounds like sum sub. It’s like a tastier version of Tom Yum soup. It was soooooo good! Seriously, ignore the strip mall and check this place out. It’s casual and inexpensive, but the main draw is the food. I think it’s the best Thai food within driving distance. If you do like your food spicy, which I do, she will make it that way for you. In fact, she makes everything to order, and has come to know just how we like it. The customer service is as good as the food. You will feel like you have been invited to dinner at your Thai friend’s home. I love this place!!

AMAZING!. Thai Spice – lovely, lovely place! The new owner/chef flew in from Maryland about three months ago to manage Thai Spice, and she is doing a fabulous job! Food actually taste authentic here! The service is great! Also, from time to time, the owner will come out to have conversations with the guests. The conversations aren’t always about the food, but just everyday talk about anything. The food is great! Especially in terms that the chef/owner cooks it the way she’d like it to be, or how she’d eat at home. Or so she says. Services are good, too! Friendly smiles and whatnots! The owner’s two girls that waiter during their school breaks are quite entertaining. They’re down to Earth with personality! It makes eating at Thai Spice like eating at a family-friends home! Yet, they do keep a tad of professionalism. CRAB RAGOON is something everyone needs to try! Try to stray away from the classic dishes. It’s not that they’re not good, it’s just that it’s better for a daily Thai eater to try a new dish. My favorite dish of all time would have to be the all the curries! And always ask for extra rice! It’s that good! The prices for the food are very inexpensive. Most dishes start from 2.95 an go up to 17.95.The Chef’s Special are around 17.95. And any type of fancy meat such as duck, or seafood combo can range at that price. But it’s worth the money, even if it is cheap!Sometimes they do delivery depending own how busy they are. They seem to mostly favor IMG Academies in term of delivery. I LOVE THAI SPICE!

Great for Lunch. Thai Spice is located in a shopping plaza off of 41. They have weird weekend hours, but I go here for lunch at least once a week. It is not close by any means to my job, however my co-workers and I think that it is quite worth the drive. They have a frequent diner card, which is also a benefit.Their lunch specials run $6.95-7.95 depending on the type of meat chosen, seafood being the most expensive. It is a great deal at that price considering the portions and that the meal comes with steamed jasmine rice, seasonal side of fruit, crispy spring roll, soup of the day, and entre. That’s a lot! The dinner menu runs $9.95-18.95 (most expensive being duck) depending on what you order, and does not come with all of the sides that the lunch comes with. Also, the portions are not much larger than the lunch.I LOVE their curries, which are rich and filling. Many times Thai curries will be loaded with too many bamboo shoots and are watered down and thin. These curries are thick with coconut milk, and loaded with fresh seasonal veggies with your choice of seafood, meat, or tofu. They are very glad to make any substitutions that you may wish for, such as no bell pepper for me, and they are very generous with the meats. I have been eating Thai food for over 10 years and have never started liking green curry until I went to Thai Spice, because I always thought that it was too spicy. Their Penang is VERY peanutty, almost like peanut butter. The Mussaman curry is amazing loaded with cashews and a rich cream sauce. I do not recommend their Pad Thai noodles, they are loaded with fish sauce, oil, and not much peanut flavor. That is just my opinion though, many of my co-workers love it.Their Thai Iced Tea is the lowest price that I have ever seen at a restaurant at only $1.75 and it is up to par with the expensive stuff.I have eaten at almost every Thai place in Bradenton/Sarasota and this one is the best in my opinion. The atmosphere is relaxing and the wait staff is very friendly and they do not rush you. They used to have sushi, but they do not anymore, you will see the sushi bar is still there.
