An unusual visit. I was driving by when I sported TKs and I remembered seeing that it just recently opened. Actually it has been about 3 months so not that recent, but anyway I stopped in. Quiche sounded good and based on a recommendation from my server I went with a bacon and Swiss. It was good, and a cucumber salad was done very well. I liked my food. The place was noisy, which may not often be the case but it was for my visit. It isnt a large place but not tiny either, and two other tables were occupied. Loud conversations from the first table and the server while the second table was talking loudly on the phone, then the second table talked with the first table, then the first table left and now it was the second table continued to converse with the server. Just lots of loud talking, which means people were happy and outgoing and comfortable and interesting, and I even joined in a little.A few things I learned, TK stands for Travelling Kitchen, although this particular place is anchored to the earth. They have and still operate a couple of food trucks. Pulled pork and Quiche are two foods they are known for. They also have a heart, a really big one. While I was there TKs quickly agreed to donate a food basket for an auction at a local school. Also while I was there, someone came in who was down on her luck, if you know what I mean. TKs was very supportive, giving food, providing a phone for a call, and generally respecting this person like she was important, which of course she was. These are good people.
