The actual cake part of the cupcake was amazing, however I wasn’t completely blown away by the icing :-/. It tasted a bit generic. The location is super cute though and the display is equally as nice.
Fantastic. I discovered this place through a friend who raved about how awesome this cupcakes were… I’m not usually a sweet lover, but I happen to be in the area one day and decided to check them out. I looked them up on facebook, they have a fan page. I called and expected to get the same run down of the normal mondane flavors but was pleasantly surprised to here that they had 25 flavors out that day, for pete’s sake, it was a Thursday? 25 flavors? I was shocked… I proceeded to tell the clerk that I had never been there before and needed directions and assistance with where to park, the nice young lady, gave me the address and informed me of their curbside service. Basically it’s almost like a drive through, you park on the curb, directly at their back door, call the number on the door, and place your order, a moment later a young lady appears with your box and you are on your way. It was magical and the cupcakes we’re fantastic, extremely moist, light a the flavors like (keylime, guava & samoa we’re refreshing!A definate two thumbs up in my book!
Outrageous!. Absolutely the best cupcakes my MOUTH have ever tasted! Moist, rich, and SO MANY flavors.
My first Miami cupcake experience.. So I’m riding home from work headed north on US-1 when I’m passing sunset place. My friends told me about a cupcake place called LA Sweets. Having lived in NYC for the past year in a half where people are cupcake crazy I had to give this place a try. I walked in and received a friendly greeting by the owners behind the counter. I explained to them that I was referred to them by one of my friends [Ann] and just had to try this place. I also told them that I lived in NYC where I became a self proclaimed cupcake fanatic, so they were quick to please. I ordered 4 minis (1 dollar each :D) and here’s my review:Vanilla Vanilla – good, though its really hard to mess this flavor up, no? both the cake part and frosting were on point.Red Velvet – Sadly, this just not do it for me. The cake part was way too moist for my taste. The cupcake hardly holds its shape when you remove the paper. The frosting however was really good! hmm, buttercream ^__^pumpkin spice – good, cake part was more like a muffin and the frosting was equally as tastykey lime pie – so now that I’m back in FL i had to try something truly FL and what says Florida more than Key Lime Pie? Wow, this flavor was not only really original, it took the cake! I haven’t had anything like this in NYC.red velvet swirl – This one was given to me on the house by the owners after I told them about my cupcake adventures in NYC. Its red velvet with a white chocolate explosion in the middle. again, the cake part too moist for me, but it did have an inner explosion of white chocolate frosting that was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I would say that LA Sweet is definitely worth a try. I have to go back for their guava and cheese cupcake (when in rome do as cubans do) but sadly, it is hard for me to say that this place blew my mind after living in the cupcake mecca of the world [NYC]. However, LA sweets IS on my way home everyday from work….uh oh, this spells trouble.
The cupcakes are amazing!!!
Freaking ADDICTED!!!. OMG!, By far the best cupcake shop in town, I have been to ALL of the cupcake shops in and out of town, including Magnolia’s in NYC and Sprinkles in CALI…. LA Sweets is by far in my opinion the absolute best one. They always have a ton of flavors to choose from and their cupcakes undeniably fresh… the cake is always moist and the buttercream is never hard…ps/ forgot to mention it’s also super clean, and a great place to hang out in… they have free wi-fi, plasma tv and and lounge area to chill in…THANK YOU CUPCAKE GOD, for sending LA Sweets to MIAMI!!!!!
